Where Did April Go?

The month of April has flown by!  For as awful as the weather was, you'd think we would have been at home all bundled up most of the month, but we weren't!  The month included visits from both sets of grandparents, visits with friends, the arrival of our adorable new niece, and so much more!

But I won't just tell you about it... I'll show you!  Let's recap the month in pictures!

For the first photo: It doesn't get any tougher than shark jammies, a camouflage hat, and flexing your biceps!!

Amita and Dada posing together.  She is wearing an adorable Snoopy sweater that used to belong to Aaron.

Here's the sweater from the back.  Super cute!

Amita eating french toast for the first time.  She wasn't sold on it until we gave her a bowl of Grandpa and Grandma's home made maple syrup to dip it in!  Then the toast disappeared!!

My future construction worker?

Playing peek-a-boo with mama!

Amita enjoying a visit with Papa.

And Ansel hanging out with Nana.  Having some extra hands around the house helped us to get out and finally buy a double stroller.  That is paying off now that the weather has turned nice!

Ansel hanging with his furry buddy.  Baxter has basically claimed Amita as his person... we're waiting to see if Azrael does the same thing!

Can you believe Amita's hair is long enough to pull back into a ponytail?

And here's a view from the back.  She LOVES to have her hair styled now!

Ansel taking a page from Amita's playbook: something in BOTH hands!

Amita was very proud of herself once she managed to do the below and not fall over!

A close up of a cooking project that Amita worked on with Grandpa and Grandma.  It was a big hit!  If you're looking to make these at home, I'd recommend Reese's Pieces for the wheels and steering wheels... but don't get me wrong... I sampled plenty!

Amita hanging out with Grandma.  For this visit, Aaron and I used our "free time" outdoors planting trees.

In the process of making the cars.  It wasn't an efficient assembly line - Amita really liked to sample the car parts!

Ansel really enjoys music... when he's feeling fussy, some tunes will usually cheer him right up.  Good thing, Grandpa's specialty is music!

Fitting the kids for a ride in the double stroller.  Amita loves it, and Ansel hasn't complained yet, so I'd say it's a winner!

Aaron and I wearing our matching t-shirts after participating in a river cleanup for Earth Day.  It was great to be out in the sunshine and have a little time alone together... even if we were wearing rubber gloves and picking up garbage!

Mama dancing with Ansel while Amita claps along.  It's entertainment for everyone.

Amita trying on one of Dada's hats.  She is really starting to enjoy playing dress up.  I know what I'll be on the lookout for at garage sales this summer!
